How it plays
Up to six friends each pick a perk, such as medic, support or demolition, and survive growing waves that end in a boss fight.
A short match takes about half an hour and a long one closer to an hour, with brief trader breaks to regroup.
In Versus Survival one team plays the monsters; on PC a group can host its own server for a full six against six.
Each player needs a copy, and PlayStation and Xbox players only play with their own platform.
