Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
pressjoin.com (“Press Join”, “we”) helps groups find games they can play together. This page explains what happens to information about you when you use the site. There are no accounts: we never ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Who runs the site
The site is run by pressjoin.com. For anything about this policy or your information, write to hello@pressjoin.com.
What stays in your browser
The site saves a few choices in your browser’s local storage, so the next page you open answers for the same group. They stay on your device:
- your group: how many players, the platforms you play on and how you like to play
- your settings: the store market prices are shown for, and whether motion previews play
- the search results you picked, until you clear them with “Forget”
- the height of the home page’s rows, so the page does not jump when it loads
- your choice about measurement (see below)
You can delete all of them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
What our servers receive
- Like every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives your IP address, your browser’s details and the pages you request. These logs are kept for a short time to run and protect the site.
- When a page shows prices, your browser asks our server for them with your store market and the games on screen, nothing else. Your market comes from your settings or from your device’s time zone, which your browser reads on your device.
Measurement
To learn which pages and features help people, the site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager. They record the pages you view, the store links you follow, the group settings you use (as codes, never free text), your device type and your approximate location. Clarity also records how pages are used, such as clicks, taps and scrolling, so we can see where a page confuses people. Both use cookies or similar storage to recognise a returning browser.
On your first visit the site asks whether you accept these cookies, and “Configure” lets you allow each tool on its own. Clarity runs only once you allow it. Until you answer, Google Analytics stores nothing on your device in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland and receives only signals without cookies or identifiers; elsewhere it runs unless you turn it off. You can change your choice at any time under Cookies in the site’s settings.
Google and Microsoft process this information under their own privacy policies and may do so outside the European Union.
Images and videos from stores
Game art, previews and trailers load directly from the stores and their image services (Steam, the Microsoft Store and Nintendo). Your browser connects to them to fetch these files, so they receive your IP address and browser details.
Links to stores
When you follow a link to a store, that store’s own privacy policy applies. Some store links may be affiliate links: the store then records that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission if you buy. We never receive your payment details.
Your choices and rights
Most of what the site keeps is in your own browser, where you can delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Write to hello@pressjoin.com and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
