Friends fight in small teams, opening portals to flank, escape or cut off the other side.
In September 2026 the developer ended active development, closed matchmaking and dedicated servers and moved the game to player-hosted matches, so a group now hosts its own lobby and the others join from the server browser.
Until then PC, PlayStation and Xbox played together; it is not confirmed that hosted matches still cross platforms.
The original Splitgate is a separate game.
