How it plays
Up to four share one screen and pass through each other instead of colliding, which keeps couch co-op calmer than older 2D Marios.
Yoshi and Nabbit take no damage, so a young or new player can pick one and still finish levels.
The Switch 2 Edition adds Bellabel Park, an area of extra multiplayer games; online friends appear as shadows rather than solid players.
Every way to play together
Crossplay between Switch 2 and Switch. Shared-screen and online for up to 4 on every platform.
- Switch 2
- Switch
Online friends appear as shadow players who can revive you but don't share one game world the way couch players do.
