How it plays
The story is for one player.
Playing together means Resident Evil Resistance, a separate online game included with it: up to four friends team up as survivors who solve objectives and try to escape while a fifth player, the Mastermind, sets traps and spawns creatures.
A custom game lets five friends fill every seat, Mastermind included; public queues can be slow.
Resistance comes with the Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, which also play on PS5 and Xbox Series; the Microsoft Store PC version and the Switch 2 version do not include it.
